Human Emotions

Emotion is typically defined as a response to a stimulus that produces physiological changes (increased heart rate, increased body temperature, activity of certain glands, changes in breathing rate), which motivate a person to act. Simply put, emotions are to the mind, the equivalent of what physical sensations are to the body.
